These Terms of Service govern your use of Threadfall. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Threadfall ("we", "us", or "Threadfall") provides a web-based campaign tracking tool for tabletop role-playing games, including session logging, AI-assisted recap generation, a shared codex, live session tools, and related features (the "Service"). The Service is operated by the owner(s) of Threadfall.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By creating an account you represent that all information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@thread-fall.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You retain all ownership rights in the content you create or upload through the Service, including session transcripts, campaign notes, codex entries, character data, and any other materials ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant Threadfall a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you and the members of your campaigns. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, subject to reasonable backup retention periods.
Recaps, summaries, and other content generated by the Service's AI features are derived from Your Content and are provided to you for your personal use. We do not assert ownership of AI-generated output that is based solely on Your Content.
All rights in the Service itself — including its software, design, trade marks, and branding — are owned by Threadfall. These Terms do not grant you any rights in Threadfall's intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as described here.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THREADFALL EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular feature will remain available. We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Threadfall and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) Your Content; or (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
You may close your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon closure, your data will be retained for up to 30 days to allow recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. For paid subscribers, where we terminate without cause, we will provide a pro-rated refund of any prepaid fees for the unused portion of the then-current billing period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved first by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English, in Texas. Each party waives the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Threadfall regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
No waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
